THE PROJECT

ABOUT THE SPORT SCIENCE BUILDING AT DEAKIN UNIVERSITY

Deakin University has confirmed its status as world-leaders in exercise and sport science with the opening of their world-class Exercise and Sport Science Teaching Building. Our MAX® 150 Structural Glazed Framing and Curtain Wall is brilliantly showcased in the new learning facility which makes a serious statement as visitors, students, and teachers arrive at the main entrance of the Burwood Campus. The new state of the art, open-plan building, includes five 40m running lanes, a large atrium, and a climate chamber capable of simulating extreme temperatures, altitude, and humidity.

 

With a need for maximum strength, beautiful views, and quality thermal performance it was only natural that our MAX SG150 suite was used for the project. The project, designed by DS Architects, opened late 2019 and is sure to be a hit with both students and teachers alike.
