THE PROJECT

ABOUT THE Central Precinct Infill at Deakin University

The Central Precinct Infill at Deakin University was completed in the first trimester of 2017.

 

The new heart of the Burwood campus, the Precinct seeks to create an energised and interactive destination for students, staff and visitors. It holds approximately 250 informal learning spaces, arranged around a brightly-lit social hub.

 

With such large expanses of glass, a quality framing system for thermal control was always going to be a priority. The Precinct features EDGE’s U-MAX® 150mm Front Capped Double Glazed and 100mm Centre Double Glazed thermally broken framing suites, ensuring interior temperatures stay constantly comfortable.
